Not all beards are created equal. Curly and fine, straight and coarse, or curly and coarse–whatever your beard hair type, you learned long ago what doesn’t work when you shave. But chances are, you haven’t found what really does work yet.
You probably recognize our resident shaving model, Elvin. We asked Elvin about his experience shaving his curly beard with RAZCLE and the ShaveAware Wet Shaving Routine:
RAZCLE vs. Curly Beard
“I don’t shave every day, but RAZCLE has motivated me to shave more often. I was skeptical at first because usually, shaving is a hassle for me. When my razor gets gunky during a shave, I have to do extra runs, which means I end up with irritation, bumps, and ingrown hairs. The curse of having a curly beard, I guess.
Using the ShaveAware Routine and RAZCLE left my blade clear of gunk! I also tried using shaving butter for the first time—which I do recommend. With shaving cream, the cream tends to dissolve and the hairs stick to the shaver, but I found that the butter would stick to the beard hair. So, when RAZCLE flushes out the beard butter, the razor ends up clean and clear.
Definitely worth giving the ShaveAware Routine and RAZCLE a try!”

Side note: Elvin has coarser, curly beard hair, but his skin tends to be sensitive, so he prefers the ShaveAware Synthetic Beard Brush. You can choose either the Synthetic or Boar Bristle Beard Brush as part of your ShaveAware Starter Kit.
