Curly Beard? Try the ShaveAware Routine

Not all beards are created equal. Curly and fine, straight and coarse, or curly and coarse–whatever your beard hair type, you learned long ago what doesn’t work when you shave. But chances are, you haven’t found what really does work yet.

You probably recognize our resident shaving model, Elvin. We asked Elvin about his experience shaving his curly beard with RAZCLE and the ShaveAware Wet Shaving Routine:

RAZCLE vs. Curly Beard

“I don’t shave every day, but RAZCLE has motivated me to shave more often. I was skeptical at first because usually, shaving is a hassle for me. When my razor gets gunky during a shave, I have to do extra runs, which means I end up with irritation, bumps, and ingrown hairs. The curse of having a curly beard, I guess.

Using the ShaveAware Routine and RAZCLE left my blade clear of gunk! I also tried using shaving butter for the first time—which I do recommend. With shaving cream, the cream tends to dissolve and the hairs stick to the shaver, but I found that the butter would stick to the beard hair. So, when RAZCLE flushes out the beard butter, the razor ends up clean and clear.

Definitely worth giving the ShaveAware Routine and RAZCLE a try!”

Side note: Elvin has coarser, curly beard hair, but his skin tends to be sensitive, so he prefers the ShaveAware Synthetic Beard Brush. You can choose either the Synthetic or Boar Bristle Beard Brush as part of your ShaveAware Starter Kit.

Our Boar Bristle and Synthetic Bristle Beard Brushes, used to apply shaving butter and cream, are essential to the practice of the ShaveAware Wet Shaving Routine. How Many Razors Do You Really Need?

Shave. Save. Repeat.

Picture this: you’re walking in the front door of Costco and in the aisle ahead of you is a wooden pallet stacked high with box after box of fresh blister packs containing 20 Gillette® Mach3 Turbo razor blade cartridges. The price is right, so you pick up a pack. Using your old shaving routine, that pack would last you about a year and eight months. But what if that same pack could last you more than six years? With ShaveAware’s products and technique, it can.

Shave. Save. Repeat. / Use Guides

At ShaveAware, we want you to get the best, closest shave of your life without creating huge amounts of plastic and water waste—and without engaging in risky, unprotected shaving with straight blades or safety razors. I invented RAZCLE because I was tired of getting passable shaves and constantly throwing out razors. When used as part of my refined shaving routine, RAZCLE greatly reduces the water you waste shaving, optimizes your blade utilization, and gives you a better, closer shave.

ShaveAware's Beard Brush means no messy hands, which mean less water wasted.
